Semoga Allah SWT membalas semua budi baik ibu-ibu guru. Amiiiinnnn...

Birthday cake for Layqa-Aksa

Size 22x22 cm
Price Rp 250.000

Honestly, this was the most colorful cake I've ever made. Well, after a short glimpse at the pictures, I'm sure you'll totally agree with me :D.

The cake was ordered by my dear friend Mia for her handsome son Aksa's first birthday. Well, even before Aksa was born, Mia had planned to order a cake from me :)). And finally, her wish came true. Hehehe.... Because Aksa shared the birthday date with his cousin, Mia said the cake would be for Layqa, the cousin, as well.

The cake was chocolate devil, my favorite. For the decoration, Mia said it's up to me. But she wanted the cake to be decorated with edible photo. She said, she's always curious about it. As for the theme, based on my suggestion, we thought Winnie the Pooh and friends were the best. They're cute and favorite of boys and girls altogether. Mia also wanted it to be decorated with fondant. No problemo. To cap it all, I said I would decorated it with small figurines of the pooh and friends. I asked her whether she prefer the doll figurines or figurines made of fondant. The latter could be eaten, but not be saved for memorabilia. Mia prefer the first. Oke dokey, less work for me, then :P.

Alas, one day before the D day, my car broke down. Fortunately, I already saved the telephone number of courier that could deliver cakes also. So I called them and made arrangements for the cake delivery on Sunday. That morning, I decorated the cake with delight, using many colors and shapes that would surely cheer up everyone who see it. And then wait for the courier to arrive. It so happened that on that specific day, there were traffic jam everywhere (imagine traffic jams on Sunday. Very unlikely) so the courier arrived several minutes late at my house. But they promised to get it delivered as soon as they can. Thank God there were no more problems on their way there and the cake reached its destination while still in good shape.

When I called Mia and asked about it, she said everything was fine. The cake was delicious and the decoration was wonderful. She was greatly pleased by it. Alhamdulillah. As always, nothing made me more satisfied than hearing from a contented customer. Happy first birthday, Aksa and Layqa. May Allah SWT bless you always and keep you happy and prosper.
